Postage and Carriage

Books will be sent by Royal Mail which is generally a very reliable and efficient service. Prices are as follows for a parcel of up to 1kg:

UK: From £3 to £8 depending on the level of tracking and insurance.

Europe: From £5 to £16 depending on the level of tracking and insurance.

Rest of the World: Please enquire and I will quote the options.

Bibliography

The main bibliographical sources referred to are as follows:

W & R: Chess Texts printed before 1850 by Ken Whyld and Chris Ravilious, published in 2003. English language works only.

Betts: An Annotated Bibliography of Works Published in the English Language 1850-1968, compiled by Douglas A Betts and published in 1974 with later reprints. 

Lusis: Chess: An Annotated Bibliography 1969-1988 by Andy Lusis, published in 1991. This covers English works only and continues the work of Betts.

L/N: Bibliotheca Van der Linde-Niemeijeriana, A Catalogue of the Chess Collection in the Royal Library, The Hague, published in 1955. There is also an online version updated with many more items in the collection.
